Networking

Okay, so it is understandable we all want to network . We want that top notch connect and we want to make millions of dollars. But woe to you if you think kissing ass is going to be of your best benefit.One of my friends said that it is not "kissing ass" per say , it is "learning the system"... No,that is an awful definition, for what you are trying to do, kissing ass, does not need to be done to "learn the system". I am an African American , and I attend a predominately white school , and when the black students say that "you need to network" most of them are referring to networking with white people. That is not a problem, but to kiss their ass? Hell Nahh ... Really I don't care who is a ceo of a business I should not need to degrade myself to get that connect. I mean honestly, connections can come without doing such. It really depends on how ambitious you are."Humbling" and "degrading"are two different terms.  So my friend who says "learn the system", I in response say, I don't need to kiss ass to learn the system . Me and you both know anyway that we experience the system everyday! We have a good idea on how it works.Thus, The system  no longer needs to be learned. What needs to be learned is how to change it!
